You stop managing and start leading. Strategy, vision, capital allocation, board, external representation. The operational day-to-day belongs to your leadership team. You work more on the business than in it. This is where many founders step aside or hire a COO — because the skills that got you here are not the skills that get you further. Naming this openly is the adult move.
