Visitor Registration ยท the 6-step intake for event attendees

The 6-step visitor-registration wizard at /visitor-registration is the structured intake we use before an event day or a structured buyer onboarding. It captures intent, goals, problem space, readiness, budget, and matchmaking preference.

What this wizard is for

It's used for two scenarios ยท pre-event registration (to set up your day-of experience) and structured buyer onboarding (when you're new to the platform). Both flows share the same 6 steps.

Step 1 ยท Intent

Multi-select ยท what you're here for. "Looking for suppliers", "exploring partnerships", "scoping the ecosystem", "attending an event". You can pick more than one ยท we don't punish multi-intent.

Step 2 ยท Headline goals

Up to 3 picks from a list of business outcomes. The picks influence which suppliers and which sessions get surfaced to you. The legacy goal field stores your first pick for backward compatibility ยท you don't have to fill it explicitly.

Step 3 ยท Problem statement

One paragraph in your own words ยท what's the problem that brought you here? Plus a multi-select of common pain points ยท channels, message clarity, hiring, operations, etc. The free-text drives prep notes; the pain points drive matching.

Step 4 ยท Readiness

Single choice ยท how ready are you to act. "Researching", "actively scoping", "ready to buy", "already buying". Used to route you to the right rep ยท researchers shouldn't get a sales call, buyers shouldn't get a generic newsletter.

Step 5 ยท Budget + timeline

Budget bracket and target timeline. Same conventions as the brief wizard ยท ranges, not exact numbers ยท realistic timelines, not aspirational.

Step 6 ยท Matchmaking preference

How you want to meet suppliers ยท pre-scheduled 1:1 meetings, open-floor networking, expert-session attendance only, or just observing this round. Used at the event to allocate slots.

After submission

You get a reference number and a confirmation email. Within 1 business day a member of the ops team reaches out with next steps ยท either an event-day briefing pack, or a structured onboarding sequence.

Updating your answers

The form is one-time per registration ยท if your situation has changed materially, re-submit. Each submission has its own reference number ยท we don't overwrite the previous one.

Five minutes of honest answers here saves an hour of generic outreach later.
