Your supplier profile is your entire pitch ยท what buyers see when the matching engine surfaces you. Every field has a job. This guide walks each one with what "good" looks like.

Where to edit your profile

Open /my-supply/profile. The page is sectioned by field group ยท save inline as you go.

Headline + tagline

Headline ยท 8-12 words answering "what kind of supplier are you?". Not your website tagline ยท a buyer scanning 5 supplier cards in 30 seconds needs the answer immediately. Tagline ยท 1 short sentence of supporting detail.

Categories (primary + secondary)

Pick the primary first ยท the closest single classification. Add up to 3 secondaries only if they truly apply ยท over-categorisation reduces matching accuracy.

Problem tags

6-10 phrases a buyer would type into a search. "Lead-gen for SaaS" beats "marketing services". Problem tags drive matching more than categories ยท invest the time.

Ideal client type (ICP)

Stage, industry, size. Be honest ยท "anyone" produces wrong-fit matches and your response rate tanks. A focused ICP means fewer but better-fit briefs.

Deal size range

Min + max. Buyers below min don't see you. Buyers above max do (they'll propose a scoped phase 1). Set min realistically ยท false floors cost matches; false ceilings cost margin.

Services offered

4-8 specific service lines. Each one becomes a buyer-side filter chip. "Consulting" doesn't filter anything ยท "B2B GTM Audit ยท 4-week sprint" does.

Case studies

Upload at least 2 before go-live, ideally 4-5. Each needs ยท client (or anonymised), problem, your intervention, measurable outcome. Numbers in the outcome are non-negotiable.

Speaker bio + photo

Even if you don't plan to speak at events yet. Profiles with a speaker bio get ~40% more buyer clicks because they read as real humans, not faceless suppliers.

Compliance & references

JSON fields capturing your compliance posture (ISO certs, insurance, GDPR posture) and 2-3 client references. Buyers see these on hover ยท it accelerates trust without you having to email proof on every conversation.

Going live ยท the ops review

Once your profile is 100% complete, the ops team does a final review (typically same business day). On approval your profile becomes visible and enters the weekly matching cycle. You're notified by email.

The profile is the only thing standing between matching-engine eligibility and an empty RFQ inbox. Don't skip fields.
