Your Electronic Signature โ€” How It Works

~4 min readยทUpdated 17 May 2026ยทEveryone

Your signature on the Supplier Registration Agreement is captured digitally and embedded in the executed contract. This guide explains how the capture works and what to expect.

How your signature is captured

The signing page includes a signature pad โ€” a rectangular drawing area on screen. You draw your signature using:

  • A mouse or trackpad on a desktop or laptop.
  • Your finger or a stylus on a smartphone or tablet.

The pad captures your drawing as a high-resolution PNG image. The image is saved at the moment you lift your finger or release the mouse โ€” so each stroke is captured progressively.

If you make a mistake, click or tap Clear to wipe the pad and start again before submitting.

How it appears in the document

Your drawn signature is stored and displayed in two places:

  • On screen (contract viewer) โ€” your signature appears in a panel showing the executed signatures for both parties. It is displayed against the dark document background โ€” the signature ink is rendered so it is always clearly visible.
  • In the PDF โ€” your signature image appears inside a white box within the printed signature block. It is displayed at natural size with the correct proportions.

The signature you draw is exactly what appears โ€” there is no alteration, enhancement, or stylisation applied.

Signing on a touch screen or mobile

Touch signing works well on most smartphones and tablets. Tips for a clean result:

  • Use your fingertip rather than your nail for smoother lines.
  • Sign slowly โ€” fast strokes can produce jagged lines on some devices.
  • If the pad feels too small on a phone, try landscape orientation for more width.
  • A stylus gives the most natural signature reproduction if you have one.

The signing page works in all major mobile browsers (Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android) without requiring any app download.

If your signature doesn't look right

The drawn signature does not need to look perfect โ€” it is legally valid as long as it represents your intentional act of signing. However if you are unhappy with it:

  1. Click or tap Clear on the signature pad.
  2. Draw your signature again.
  3. Only click Submit signature once you are satisfied.

Once you have submitted, you cannot change your signature without the contract being reset by a B2B Growth Hub Admin. If you submitted by mistake or your signature was captured incorrectly, contact your partner immediately โ€” before they counter-sign.

Your signature in the PDF

The fully executed PDF that you receive by email after both parties have signed includes your signature image in the signatures section alongside:

  • Your name and job title as entered in the signing form.
  • The date and time you signed.
  • The Audit Certificate recording the IP address and device used to sign.

This PDF is your legal copy of the executed agreement. Store it securely โ€” it is the authoritative record of the terms you and B2B Growth Hub have agreed to.
